Yes. I have Bobby Abreu, Pete Rose, Larry Christenson and Bryce Harper Jerseys with names on the back. I also have Richie Ashburn and Robin Roberts jerseys — names not on jersey. I go to a lot of Phillies games. I have fun. Get a life.

I grew up with many soccer jerseys for players in European leagues. Right now I only have one jersey with a name on it (Brazil national team/Neymar) but I will undoubtedly own more in the future (the rest of my current jerseys are not player specific). I tend to wear out my soccer jerseys

I'm a lifelong Rams fan from since the 1960's. 30 years ago I bought a heavy cotton, long sleeve number 75 (Deacon Jones) which is a replica of 1960's jerseys. No name on it because they didn't use nameplates until the late 60's. I also have an Isaac Bruce jersey that I picked up at a sporting goods store, 25 years ago for like $10. They've been worn a long time ago but rarely. I just liked the memorabilia. Yes, a lot of men look kinda dumb wearing those things.

It was given to me by the player himself. We grew up together, played with and against each other on club and high school teams (soccer), still talk a few times a year and my parents are friends with his parents to this day. He, of course, went on to play at the highest level, including time in England and in the World Cup. I flamed out after college and took up running. I'm proud of my friend.

Your question seems to come from a place of great insecurity. Most men don't feel embarrassed or that they owe an explanation for wearing a jersey of their favorite team. Wearing a jersey is something that fans do to support their favorite players and teams.

I am presently wearing a Manchester City jersey with Kevin de Bruyne’s name across the back. The why? Because he’s my favorite player and my daughter got me the shirt as a gift.
