Looks like being woke didn't help the financial troubles that Strava was in throughout the past year and I think this news was skipped over by many during Christmas but the latest round of financial hurt at Strava is that they fired 15% of their employees just a couple weeks before Christmas! Sure was nice and woke of Strava to do this just before Santa made an appearance.

People are losing jobs across the tech industry. I don't believe it has to be with "woke" - more than they grew too fast for a while. And not enough paid members...just like letsrun.

Yeah, I checked my e-receipts, it was originally $69.99/month here in Canada, now it is $99.99/month, so I didn't renew. I keep getting notices from them that it is 45% off as a promo, I click the link, it's full price.

I'm a left winger and I've never paid for Strava because we'll, why would I? I also wouldn't pay for any other social media experience for the same reason. Who gives a flip about Musk? He's just another dude that has no bearing on my life. Why is everyone obsessed with giving other people so much attention and power over them?

Holy sh*t that’s pricey! I thought Strava was just a place to log your runs and follow other runners. What on earth else does it do to warrant a monthly cost like that?

The price is USD 80/YEAR if you pay for a year. I just looked it up. You could, to. Don't believe things you read on LetsRun.

I also distinctly remember Strava promoting BLM at the time of the riots but now can find no trace of Strava announcing their allegiance to BLM. It's like Strava scrubbed all mention of their official support of BLM to all Strava users. Who knew that supporting the BLM and the riots they caused wasn't a good idea?

Did they? I'll unsubscribe and delete my account if so. It was already overpriced at 60 a year and there are many activity trackers out there.
