It's already behind a paywall for me.
He meant 24 minutes…
Same for me
Yeah me too
My bad. I pushed the wrong button. Fixed.
Are they trying to make up for their genetic inferiority?
Great article. Did they provide stats on how much of the tests were in competition versus out of competition?
Thanks for making this public. Fascinating read. I'm actually leaving this feeling more optimistic.
Also.. A quick lookup of that agent Rosa shows that he represents Nijel Amos and Asbel Kiprop in addition to those big Marathon names. This is fishy to me. Would love to see a breakdown of dopers by agent and I think there will be some interesting patterns.

Rojo, better question: why do you CONTINUE to support Shelby even though she was banned for doping?
Huh? HUH?
1. Easy access to PEDs. Drugs came be purchased in Kenya over the counter that would require a perscription in most countries.
2. The financial incentives to cheat. Even if you get caught, you can be set for life if you win a couple of big races.
3. Drug testing. Kenyans are tested; testing has gotten much better in the last year of two. However, testing has only recently gotten better and Kenyans have not come to the realization of how the science and process of testing works.
This is something a number of people have asked us about. My aim for 2023 is to create a database that we can share publicly on LetsRun with basic info about doping cases -- name of the athlete, what they were banned for, how long, plus their coach, agent and team. It might be tricky to get the coach info as in a lot of the Kenyan cases that isn't easily available but we'll do our best.
Obviously there are also a lot of other athletes currently serving bans -- it could take a while to add all them to the database so I'm not sure how many we'll get to. But my hope is that if we keep updating the database as every case comes in during 2023 it should be fairly manageable to maintain.
Noticed in that article that the top 3 countries the AIU targets for testing are Kenya, Ethiopia, and the USA. That tells you boatloads about how dirty the AIU thinks Americans are and rightly so.

The solution, developed jointly by World Athletics and the AIU, was to expand the AIU testing pool to include the top 300 road athletes, a move that would cost $3 million per year, jointly funded by World Athletics, the AIU, agents, and major road races. [/Quote]
You mean to tell me that the AIU runs their anti-doping testing for marathons for only around $3 million and have caught all these Kenyans and Americans over these past few years? Can we fire Max Siegel and double the AIU's budget? We can also fire the useless and corrupt USADA and give the AIU orders of magnitude more money?
Gualt: Are the agents to blame?
Agent: No, we are definitely not the problem.
Fantastic article Jonathan.
Have just signed up to the SC. Great work and great discussion.
Why was I banned so many times in 2022?
How is this your takeaway? America has 7x the population of Kenya and a way higher % of the worlds top athletes and yet they get tested 1/3 as much. It literally says in the article that the AIU mainly tests the top 10 athletes in each event + the recent expansion for top 300 road athletes. Reading comprehension not your strong suit
