Anyone have any thoughts or reviews on the following Pearl Izumi shoes (I believe they are older models):
PI Push
PI Vital
PI Vision
PI Out
Thanks.

They suck.
I ran in the push and I consider it the worst shoe I ever tested, except for maybe a merrel or two. They make great apparrel though!
yep, not impressed with the shoes either.
As a Pearl Izumi dealer, I'll say this. The Push definitely is not a shoe for running in as much as it is a shoe for kicking around in. If you're spending your $80 bucks on it to get some miles in...don't. Some people like the Vital, but I think it's a little stiff and bulky for most.
Where it's at are the Float's and the Guide's.
The Float is a reasonably supportive lightweight trainer. Actually awesome balance and support based on the relatively light weight. Much better than the Structure, or the 20XX whatever Asics might throw at you.
The Guide is my fave for people looking for high mileage comfort, cushion, and who beat up shoes faster than Bekele. For a high mileage type who would maybe put into the Kayano, or a higher end support shoe, this is a great option.
Anything that Pearl Izumi makes with the Syncroframe and Skydex system in it is a good bet. One of the owners of the Boulder Running Company, Johnny Halberstadt, had a hand in the design. He knows his stuff.
Also the shoes have a lifetime quality guarantee. so if you run in them and you hate them, take them back and quit bitching. It's a pretty good deal. the company really stands behind the shoe. I have a lot of happy customers, and very few returns.
Appreciate the post. I don't think I'll be buying PI shoes anytime soon, for a variety of reasons, but their bike and tri stuff I own, while expensive, is top quality stuff--durable, reliable and comfortable. I didn't know their shoes had a lifetime guarantee; that's good to know. They are a top notch manufacturer of stuff I need.

the shoes suck.
the rep in our area is a snake.
unless you like loco, you will hate pearl.
I actually think that loco makes better shoes than pearl.
I tested the float too and it sucked. Good for "kicking around" though.
They make good clothes and apparel!
I feel they should just drop the shoe line or start from scratch, except they keep getting good write ups in magazines and customers love em.
f***ing customers man!
