Title. I bought a new pair of Nike running shorts (had a few old pairs with better lining, but they've started to rip) and it feels very tight and unnatural. Is there a way to improve this feeling?

If it matters, I'm typically 4.8" soft and hang to the right
Not a new topic, you can find other threads on this. For no clear reason, Nike made their liners far worse a while back by making them too small.
Nike running shorts were my favorite for 25 yrs. Now I can’t wear them short of cutting out the liner and wearing them over Saxx Kinetic boxers.
So true. The Aeroswifts are still comfortable but damn I tried the Fasts and I didn't sleep at all after a 10 miler cause I had too much pain down deep in the crotch. Give the Aeroswifts a try if you don't mind the price.
They can’t be as bad as Rabbit brand shorts where one testacle ball comes outside of the liner and bounces
Chafing is a problem on most of the shorts, especially Nike as of late, if trying to run sweaty for more than 1hr. The only short where not as bad might be BOA brand, New Balance, or 2XU actually.
what I mean is the Rabbit brand one is so low that the shorts liner mostly allows the balls to move like a pendulum freely while the liner is narrow and too low and doesn’t even touch the balls. It is big problem when trying to sit down on the track and stretch because of worrying the ball is visible
I notice that when I run on a treadmill naked in my own home that, just prior to a run, my balls hang low, but during a run and afterwards, my balls kind of retreat in protection mode with the scrotum tighter, which may be a similar adaptation to a turtle going into the shell
Got the same problem. My ding ain't that big but these damn shorts are WAY too tight in the liner.
Anyone have recommendations for 5" shorts that are NOT too tight?
Try tuckin'
Pics?
Stop it , just stop it !!!

That’s because Nike shorts are only designed for transgender people now. So you will have to surgically remove your genitals.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
