I have run about 35,000 miles in my lifetime! This is about 1 and a half times around the earth! I believe there are so many benefits to running that have not been discovered but I can tell you that there are so many yet most people are unaware of these amazing benefits. Some are tangible and incredibly beneficial. Take for example, the quality of sleep. After a 5 mile run earlier in the day I will sleep so deeply and peacefully. I believe most people would experience this. It's truly one of the magical benefits of running. I am trim and slim, with a perfect BMI and blood pressure. I have exceptional muscle tone. Most people where I live in the US are overweight and unfit. It is a disgrace! I think there needs to be al all out running revolution. The cost savings of healthcare and increased happiness would be incalculable!
