Title. Can I break 9? This felt easy until the 5th, and gradually became more difficult but never felt all-out. I'm also more of a strength runner.

My mile 'PR' (from 2 seasons ago) is 4:38 and my 800 is 1:52 (relay)
probably 9:05-9:15 but with a few races under your belt sub 9 should happen by the end of the season.
Current PRs? Current 3200m?
Imma say 9:20.
Alan
1:52 and 4:38 is not a 'strength runner'. You are plenty fast though.
Alan
Am more of a strength runner too, have done this workout a couple times at the same pace and 75-80s recovery (my Mile PR was 4:34) and I ran 8:43 & 14:50 this season.
9:05-9:15 is a soft suggestion. Good luck!
Whu?
No disrespect, but I wouldn't be surprised if a 9:40-mid.
I ran 4:38 2 seasons ago, but never ran a mile since. I think I'd be in low 4:10s shape but have never ran it
I'd say based on personal experience, close to 9:00

Maybe if he was racing this workout. But if OP is being honest about the level of effort put in during this session 9:15 should be quite achievable.
I did a similar session last year (8x800 off 2 mins in 2:21 avg) a couple weeks before an 8:38 3k.
Feel like you're closer to sub-9 than some people are saying. 8x800 on 90s should be pretty close to 5k pace. The mile PR seems very outdated, given the workout. The 800 makes sense. I say go after sub-9.
The OP seems like a troll post. Too many red flags.
