Unless your school is that cheap, or you don't have an in with your equipment manager.

Do your Hurdle mobility drills. Hurdle walk overs, lead & trail leg, alternate legs.

Also cheated hurdling is great because the hurdles are lower and easier to Hurdle so you can develop a rhythm of running and hurdling without the extra stress of a higher height... And of course hurdling at the main height... And water jump, put a barrier in front of the long jump pit.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

Definitely dragonfly. Vastly superior spike. Also steeple can really beat up the legs and the added cushion in the dragon flys could help reduce this a bit.

Have you seen the precipitous drop in times with the new shoes? Dragonfly without question. Without them you are giving away 5+ sec from your steeple time.
