On their podcast this week (The Call Room) they talked about doing a workout on Monday. Why would they do a workout two days after an all-out race (CIF state meet)? Lex and Leo both talked about how they were physically toasted in that race, so why put yourself in an even bigger hole going into the most important meet of the year? Lex hit a wall with a mile to go and Leo legit stopped moving with 300m to go. That’s not normal and we’ve never seen that happen to them.
what’s most sad is their performance yesterday is that it wasn’t their fault. They run from the front and normally would be able to pull off that move. Their coach failed them. What a travesty.
