I'm about 8 years removed from high school, where i put in a few years of 40-60mpw. I have read before that slow twitch runners can take it a bit quicker on their easy days. I'm about 4 months back into my running journey after the break. Goal events: half marathon, marathon
HADD training looks appealing because:
1) It is designed to build an aerobic base, which in theory I don't have at this point
2) Slow running will enable me to build mileage quicker? I'm at around 50, but am targeting 80
However,
1) I have read that slow twitch runners (Of which I definitely am one - my 200m speed is SLOW) can benefit more from going quicker on easy days, and I am worried that running a bunch of miles at 8:30 pace will not benefit meH
2) I have read that HADD is better for a FAST twitch runner without an aerobic base whereas I am a SLOW twitch runner without an aerobic base

How can I best be ready for half marathons, and ultimately, a marathon next fall?
