35/M. Surprised myself with a 2:59:30 PR in Philadelphia a few weeks ago. It was my 7th marathon.
I loosely followed Jack Daniels Plan A, peaking at 60mpw but missed several key workouts (hot, busy summer)and didn’t have any fantastic races in the build ups.
My half PR is 1:28:30 and I’ve never run a great 10k or 5k but don’t love either of those races as much as full and half’s .
Looking to set goals for my next full marathon (Boston ‘23) or a winter/spring half. Breaking 3 didn’t seem on the cards but I felt great on this race and was able to hold down almost exactly even splits.
What milestones should I aim to hit next?
