you could try the lydiard technique of lacing, its kinda difficult, but i felt all the pressure off the top of my foot relieved the first time i ran in them.
first you look at the shoe and number the sides up from the bottom with 1,3,5,7,9 on one side and 2,4,6,8,10 on the other, so 1 and 2 are the bottom two holes in the shoe
Thread the laces DOWN through 1 and 2. Then lace as follows: 1 goes under and up through 5, across and down through 6, up and under through 10, across and down though 9 and up through 11.
2 goes up through 4, across and down through 3, under and up through 7, across and down through 8, under and up through 12.
hopefully you understood that, the first time i did it, i thought it was confusing, but every subsequent time, it got easier and its not that difficult to understand now.
