Which option is better:
1) Complete Run -> ~30-60 min Strengthening Routine -> Recovery Nutrition
2) Complete Run -> Recovery Nutrition ->~30-60 min Strengthening Routine
The standard advice I always hear is to consume post-run nutrition within ~30ish minutes of a workout. However, if I do a post-run strengthening routine more-or-less immediately after my run, by the time I complete the routine, take a short breather, shower, change, etc. I often find that in practice it's usually closer to 60+ minutes after my run before I actually eat anything.
