"It has also been confirmed two roommates, Bethany Funke and Dylan Martensen, were upstairs at the time of the murders, although cops have said neither is under investigation and the surviving friends have been cooperating with the investigation."
The boyfriend of Madison Mogen, one of the four murdered University of Idaho students, has been left bereft ahead of a holiday weekend the young lovebirds were supposed to share together.
The other article said that there was a keypad requiring a code for entry on the front door. Either the killer knew the code, or went around to the sliding glass door in the back yard and entered through the unlocked slider.
Four killed and you try to make a joke about it. You’re a POS.
I wouldn't say it's a joke, he's making a point how if it was a gun everyone would be going crazy on gun control as if it's the only way it could have happened and it'd be all over the media. But since it's a knife the media isn't running with it since they can't bring up the hot topic of gun control. If you make it so people can't have a gun they'll kill people other ways, like with a knife. Or they'll drive a car through a crowd of people. Or they'll Ted Bundy them with a log. A gun isn't the only way to kill a person, and it's not the only way to kill multiple people.
And to the people saying "how did no one hear that"... Think of what it sounds like when you cut meat, it's pretty quiet. And when someone is stabbed multiple times in rapid succession they'll make a little animalistic noise but probably not a full on yell heard across the house. And if you have multiple people living in a house it's not out of the ordinary to hear something at some point within the house at night. Could be someone going to the bathroom or in the kitchen getting some water or a number of things.
Be serious - guns are by far the easiest way to kill multiple people. People complain about AR-15s because its so easy to kill multiple people and terrorize people. And this story is not being ignored, it’s everywhere.
People are speculating that the victims were bound and then killed, and that the surviving roommates were bound as well. That would explain why they didn't/couldn't call 911. The neighbors said they didn't hear anything. This possibly suggests more than one suspect. This reminds me of the horrific abductions of the two kids in Coeur d'Alene by Joseph Duncan. Duncan stalked the family for several days and then entered the home, held them at gunpoint, bound them with zipties, and then killed the kids' mother, her boyfriend, and the kids' 13 year old brother with a hammer. He then abducted the kids and did horrific things to them. I hate even mentioning his name, but it's an example of how 1 man subdued a whole family. ugh.
The two University of Idaho students who survived a fatal knife attack that left four of their friends dead can be identified as Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke.

People may be speculating this but earlier the police stated that the other two roommates were not witnesses to the crime. If they had been tied up by the attacker they would certainly be considered witnesses. Also, they believe the same knife was used for all four killings. For there to be multiple suspects, they would have had to hand the weapon off to each other. Unless only one committed the actual killings and any others just maintained control over the victims.
So it looks like only five girls lived there, and Ethan was just camping there that night with his girlfriend, so it looks like they must’ve had one spare bedroom.
Good thing FBI is stepping in, because local cops seem out of their league here. "Crime of passion"? "No threat to community"? Get your act together. Or at least learn some media relations, you hayseeds.
This can't be that hard to solve in his day and age.

It also seems far fetched the killer(s) would tie up all 6 people in the house but leave the two survivors unharmed.
They would be the most likely suspect to anyone with a brain.
There couldn’t possibly have been a motive for them to murder their roommates.
What a ridiculous thing to say.
List all the thousands of motives you know of for people to murder someone, and tell us why roommates are somehow excluded from the list of people who could have such motives.
