What approach do you take when you get sick during a marathon or half marathon training block (within 2 months of a goal race)? How do you adjust training? Take days off (how many), or run through it? How does your approach differ with the amount of time to the goal race?
I often find myself in this predicament, particularly with winter training. Hard to decide whether to run easy through it - potentially prolonging the sickness, or take some time off. Then how quickly to ramp back up to full training load.
Not talking about injuries. Focused on getting a cold or flu...
