If you had a big enough hosepipe floating in space, could you put out the sun?

Theoretically, if NASA built a big enough hosepipe attached to a spaceship, could the sun be extinguished with enough water? How much water would be needed? Do you think this could be a solution to global warming? Not put out the sun completely, but just a little?

Water which consists of oxygen and hydrogen atoms, is basically fuel to the fusion reactor of the sun.
