I do a lot of workouts on the track in lane 6 because I find doing them in lane 1 puts a lot of unnecessary strain on my calves. i usually space out mentally during workouts and so I’m not paying attention to where I’m at on the track (especially during long repeats like tempos, mile repeats etc.) and instead rely on gps accuracy. generally I find that the gps measurement is what I would think is correct (lane 6 is 438 meters and I usually hit a mile after 3 laps and 250 into the 4th lap).
my question is: are gps trackers (garmin forerunners) more accurate in lane 6 or lane 8 than lane 1?
today I did 4x 2 mile with 90 seconds rest at 5:45 pace (I’m a girl) so I’m wondering if I’m in great shape or if my gps has overestimated my fitness
