My 9th grade son is starting indoor track very soon. He will race on indoor tracks in the NY metropolitan area and we are wondering what racing shoes to consider. He has a wide forefoot and just started running in under armour shoes but I'm open to getting a different brand there too.
He will probably race the 1600 and relays.
It depends on what type of money you are willing to spend. The Nike Dragonfly is a great option and is by far and away the best spike on the market right now. Otherwise you can go to a local running store and try some out.

Is it good for runners with wide forefeet? We'll try some out but stores like to sell what they have in inventory.
I’d say they would work for wide feet.
High school runners run in Nike. Period. Don't know exactly this came to be the case but it is now. Go to a high school event and tell me if you see another brand. You can change this. Send the kid to school in something else, he becomes the best runner at school, and as de facto leader they all follow him. By the way, Nike are offensively narrow.
My high school has a very good team, and everybody races in vaporflys 😂😂. If you read reviews you will see that the takumi sen 8 is generally better for 5ks…
dragonfly’s are still the best spike though, don’t get it if it will hurt your feet
