Apparently I work way more than everybody I know because everyone posts up runs hours before I even leave the office. In that sense it's bad for my mental health because I'm starting to hate my life even more than usual.
Strava has totally changed the running scene in my town. There used to be only one or two running clubs around and now there is some kind of running event every day of the week, morning or evening.
It can be but only if you let it. My straw is locked down and I don't follow anyone else. I have two followers or friends I've known since high school and I follow them. No public scrutiny, no peer pressure, no need to try and keep up, no trying to impress, just log in my time and looking at my results.

I would say compared to other social media: instagram, twitter, FB, LRC, strava has been the least damaging to my mental health. And the benefits it has made to my running far outweigh any drawbacks
