It had been reported by some outlets the NYC Marathon would be that Abdi Abdirahman's last race. His farewell. However, he just signed a three year contract with Asics, and has announced that he will be running until the expiration of his new contract with Asics in three years, when he's 48.
Great news. Rupp plans to skip WC next summer, so a solid NYC result might put Abdi on the short list for natl team selection.
Abdi will be lucky to hit the OT standard.
