As an entertainer, she is probably the best as she is an awesome vocalist and excellent actor. I don't think anyone else can compare when you look at her body of work. That said, thank goodness I haven't seen any dumb political comments from her in awhile.

First of all, she is nowhere near the most Grammy nominations. Second, it is easy to get multiple nominations per year with song, record, album, video, etc. so numbers can get inflated pretty quickly.
While I vehemently disagree with her political beliefs, I must admit that Meryl Streep may be the best entertainer ever. She has 21 Oscar nominations (17 in a leading role) with three wins. Only one person ever won four in a career and she has nearly double the number of nominations as #2 on the list. It is almost impossible to get multiple nominations in a year for the Oscars so it takes a long period of consistency to rack up 20+.

I'm sure if queen Barbra focused on movies only or music only she would have won more awards. The point is she great in three things which is unheard of. Jamie Foxx is the only other entertainer that you can say is good at multiple things and he hasn't accomplished nearly as much as Barbra.

It's not my favorite song by her. Probably "People" but it was a good effort. I agree that the best version(s) of this song are by Laura Nyro who is one of my favorite composers.
