I would accept an all grass course as XC in a heartbeat. PAC-12 was a hard packed dirt road race and many high school courses are now 50% asphalt/concrete. The most popular XC racing shoe is the Vaporfly Next%. American XC has become a joke and should just be replaced with 5K road races and stripped of the name "cross country".
So, I saw Hicks was wearing the Dragonfly this weekend. I don't blame him if the course was firm but IMO, XC should never be held on a course that basically runs like a track with a few lumps in it. The courses need to be designed in such a way as to make track spikes unwearable, otherwise, what's the point in XC? It just becomes a track race on the grass.
Just seeing some of the clips of the various races, so many people look like they're in Dragonfly's. Is this right or are they just similr-looking?
The plural of dragonfly is dragonflies.
I'm not great with grammar so I'll take your word for it. My reasoning was that this is the proper name of the shoe so the plural should be -ys, kind of like the plural of Lucy would be Lucys. I definitely shouldn't have added the apostrophe
