Please explain why. I have both. The full plate feels & runs more like a traditional shoe.
The half plate (the Nike Alphafly Next %) feels completely different and totally unlike the full plate or traditional shoe. I have to adjust more in the arm action (where it has less play/where the arm just comes straight thru) when running in the half plate = more more difficult to adjust to.
Opinions?

One last thing - was it more difficult for you to adjust to the half plate or the full plate. Remember, the full plate came first......historically.
I prefer the carbon rods Adidas has in some of their newer shoes (Adios Pro 3). My feet would feel too beat up from full plates and I have found some success in using them.
The new Asics shoes are interesting with their plate but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Let me rephrase - is it the Air Pod that makes it (Alphafly) so alien compared to earlier super shoes like Vaporfly?
