Given a 52s 400m, what 5k timings would indicate enough strength for
- 1:52 800m?
- 1:56 800m?
- 2:00 800m?

My guesses, partially based on experience:
- 1:52 will need at least sub 16:00, probably closer to 15:30 if you're talking 52 mid or high.
- 1:56 would need like 17:00 or so
- 2:00 needs around 18:00 or so. I ran 1:59 with 51 low open 400 speed and at the time I'm not sure if I could have cracked 18:00
I'd guess it's impossible to say. I had 52 speed, 15:30 (xc) strength, but didn't run faster than 1:59.

Pretty sure the 13:30 guy will be pushing 1:52😁 but yeah as you back off the link between aerobic strength and 800m times break down. I am sure you could break down why (efficiency, vo2max versus aerobic threshold, anaerobic tolerance) about why one 52/16:00 runs 1:54 and the other runs 2:00 but you need to know who you are and not somebody else.
If I'm running 53 mid/low and 18:30 5k what do you think my 800 could be? 2:05-2:06ish?
