Bump
It is built on a Japanes last. It just cam out it is pretty nice.Asics also just came out with a new DS Racer which is a solid shoe that uses the new Asics midsole material solite.
i think it replaces the Tiger Paw. supposedly a tiny bit - .5 oz - lighter than the Paw.
gel only in the heel, not in the forefoot
interesting that they would use the same name as a extant track spike
we got it yesterday. Its probably the best fitting Asics flat. I don't know the exact weight, but it does seem lighter than the tigerpaw. The new DS racer is also nice fitting, but the medial post kinda ruins it. If anyone needs exact weights in sizes i can get them for you.
does the new DS racer use the Solyte mid-sole? and continute to have get fore and rear?
If I like the Lanreth II, will I like this shoe?
Do you think that it would hold up ok for me (~175 lbs.) for a Marathon?

Would this show be of good use in training? I currently use the DS Trainers...
Bumping one more time.
might be a good marathon or half shoe, seems a bit heavy for shorter stuff
Doug, I just bought a pair of the Gel-Landreth II to try out. I am 6'1" @ 180 lbs. and was curious to how they hold up for you especially on long runs.
Thanks,
Dwight
I love the Landreth II. They have plenty of cushioning, aren't too heavy, and most importantly, have great heel-toe transition.
I actually bought a pair of the Cumulus for my easy days, thinking that they would be a bit softer, but I prefer the Landreth's over them.
As far as long runs go....They still feel great at the end of the weekly 16-18 miler.
