You've got division 1 runners running 14:30 3 miles in high school and then literally their freshmen year of college, they can run double the distance at a faster pace. I'm doing more intense training in college as a division 3 runner and I can't run hold my 3 mile pace in an 8K. So, how are division 1 runners so easily able to run a 10K at a faster pace than their 3 mile pace? And for that matter, how are they able to get in that kind of shape so damn quickly? Are they on some kind of drugs? Is their cheating? It seems hardly human
