Hi, firstly i just want to ask if its possible for me to run around 3:20 for marathon which is in two weeks. Secondly, how to divide race pace through marathon. Right know it feels quite possible, but i don't want to rush first half and then suffer the second and also didn't hit the target.
Couple of thing about me:
30 years old
Right know i am running in average 50-60 km per week, but i also workout in gym 3-4 times per week.
3 weeks before i run 10K in 40:20
5 weeks before i try to simulate marathon with 30 km run, from which i ran (exclude warmup and cool down) 24km in pace 4:42/km (or 7:31/mile) - i run only with 0,5l of water and at the end i was feeling little bit exhausted, but that can be because i dint have any fueling (except coffee in the morning to speed up the morning routine :D ) and also because i was alone which can be sometimes tiresome. In the upcoming race it will be different as i will have some energy gels, there will be refreshment stations and also lots of runners and people cheering that will definitely enhance atmosphere. On the other hand it was only 24k(15 miles), so still almost half of the race distance to run.
Last year i ran same marathon in 03:45, but with first half in 01:44 - i got caught in atmosphere and was rushing, right in half i got cramps and suffer the second half. Also the difference is that i was not prepared for race (in avg 20km per week) - at that time i was focusing on gym.
So based on last and this year i think its possible, but every day closes to race i have doubt that its not that easy
