Boston alone has almost a million in prize money and others are bigger so probably all the majors combined are way over a million

There is some risk/reward involved in rodeo. In a marathon if you make a mistake you may not achieve a PR. In rodeo a mistake might get you trampled or speared.

Rodeo clowns make more money than non-superstar elite distance runners.
