Joe Kovacs with a 23.23m bomb to take the men's shotput in Zurich! World #2 all time behind Ryan Crouser, second man ever over 76'. Nice day for a guy who'd have a legitimate GOAT claim if not for the GOAT being right there in front of him for the past few years.
Joe Kovacs is the Noah Ngeny of the men's shotput.
Great post… but, there’s more to the show. I won’t be surprised if he throws near 24 in the next two years. But, Ryan might also. Great event.
The Noah Ngeny reference is awesome btw
24 meters is pretty ambitious. lol Not sure about that, but it's definitely going to be fun watching these two push it the next few years on the way to Paris.
Also nice to see all the "juicy" names from the 80's/90's getting cleansed from the all-time list.

Trust me, I get it. But, I used to Put a 16lb ball a little bit, and this step over foul is not that significant in terms of extra distance. A little bit, yes. If you’ve never seen this video, hopefully it makes you a believer.
Ryan Whiting told me back in 2013 that Joe would end up the GOAT. Since, Ryan has done his thing too, but I think Joe still has something else in store.
and by “Ryan has done his thing too”, I mean Ryan Crouser. We could see a meet where both guys go on a back and forth WR binge. Now THAT would be something!

You should read the comments on that video. The OP says they measured the wrong mark and it wasnt 24 meters
