I love when grown men pick on teenagers lol. Good luck running 3:44 yourself buddy.
Yeah no one should be putting Hobbs down but...
Instead Maybe giving grief to the posters that were SURE he would immediately run 3:31-3:32 without a care in the world based on his 800/1000 times.
He’s an adult man and professional athlete. Why would he above scrutiny any other pro gets?
I don't think anyone expected this time after his impressive 2:16. Maybe he really just is primed for speed right now and the 1500 was a shock to his system. The day he ran 2:16, his teammate Mason Ferlic (whose not a 1500 guy, granted) had to drop out of his 1500m.
Maybe their training has just left them ill-prepared for this particular event? The 1500 is certainly a unique distance, so if you don't have the right systems firing on all cylinders, you can't expect a beastly time.
Some other posters said he went for it early and just faded bad, but I haven't seen the video yet.
Are you seriously gleeful that a teenager didn’t run up to his potential today? What’s wrong with you?
Even after I went to great lengths to explain why I thought Hocker is the safer bet to have a bright future in the “Cole or Hobbs - whose running future would you want?” thread, I am not happy to see this result. I can’t understand why anyone would be.
You thought wrong.
It's been a long season.
It looks to me Hobbs was locked in on Nuguse but got discouraged when he couldn’t keep up and gave up the last lap.

Recent deletions render this nonsensical.
Some runners are off limits to criticism.
