How do you maintain enough self-control to not scream and restrain yourself from backhanding them?
By paying the proper attention to the reason you went there in the first place, your meal, your guest’s meal, your conversation. A person who can be distracted often blames others. A person who has a better life is focused on the better. If you hate things 11-21, then pay attention to things 1-10 that you like. Be so focused on your goals that people failing around you are irrelevant, unseen and unheard by focused you. Also, pick a better restaurant, forever. Upgrade the environments you go into. That’s just a bit of planning. Plan more. Many good experiences are planned, not accidental.
