Recently, I've started using the rowing machine in my building's gym. I'm completely new to this, but I enjoy it and it seems like a good workout for non-running days. The only problem is that every so often, the machine gives a little hitch. The resistance disappears for one stroke, and I fly back a bit. The next stroke, the resistance is back.
Is this a flaw in the machine, or is it possible I'm doing something wrong? I'm sure my form isn't perfect, but I watched a few videos, and I think I'm not doing anything wildly out of the ordinary. Also, my pace (other than when it hitches) is very consistent--always between 2:04 and 2:07.
Anyone have any experience with this?
