Tracksmith no longer supporting Atalanta NYC?

The AtalantaNYC was and is a joke.

I look at their website every now and then, and whoever is in charge of updating it (if anyone) hasn't even bothered to update the "Our Youth Team" which (I just looked) still says:

"Our mentoring program is designed for girls aged 12-20 that are interested in learning from our professional runners about the power of community, education, and movement. Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 sessions will be held in NYC, and virtual youth program sessions will be available for all in during Summer 2022."

Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 !!!! LOL! We are almost up to Fall 2022 !!!

And there still has been no explanation on why, if you donate, the money goes to NYC Pioneer Club, Inc and not AtalantaNYC.

Also, still no posting of the required 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit filed forms.

However, as of the time of this post, the site does list Tracksmith as a sponsor on the "Donate" page, but not on the "Team" page. Go figure.

Just a shoddy operation.

Maybe someone at TrackSmith actually read the SafeSport arbitrator report instead of believing everything Mary Cain said countless times on national media.

No, Mary Cain doesn't work for TrackSmith anymore. She quit her job there a couple of years ago.

She quit the sport of running to attempt the triathlon. They aren’t triathlonsmith.

I wasn't sure how to ask this but what happened to her triathlon career?

I know people who do triathlons and they're out there competing almost every week during the summer and they have fulltime jobs. You have to grind it out week in week out to hone your craft. Mary Cain never really learned the grind, at work or in sports. Looking at her Strava she just bikes for 55 minutes and calls it a day. Even if she's injured and can't run, she could be doing 3x the volume on the bike. She just doesn't have the grind.

Tracksmith jumped the woke shark. So many options at that price point - YMR track club, Soar, Satisfy, ect. I spent a lot of $ with them but no more.

Just looking at their insta, Atalanta seems like a pretty boring team. Nothing but some training pics. No mention of what runs they're doing, what the athletes do outside of running, where they train, etc. There are more product placement posts than race posts. You have to have personality and flair or insanely good times to maintain sponsors these days. Honestly, if Atalanta actually employs anyone full time, their next hire should be a social media manager. If not, one of these girls should look into social media management, read a book on it or something. I'm not saying their posts are bad, a couple are even good, the rest are just ok.

TSmith sponsored them because they created controversy - but from that Cain and the others didn't produce results.
