1/10, but honestly, DNF.
Reported.
let's say her life depended on it and she had 12 months to train for it
before anyone says she'd dnf or some nonsense, remember that unathletic obese middle-aged lifelong couch-dwellers do these things in 4-5 hours after 6 months of abusing their bodies, but i digress
in my opinion, she could run sub-2 for 800 with 6 weeks of focus on that, but let's say she "only" gets to 2:00 shape.
ok she hits 2:00 then aims for 6 weeks of focus on the 1500, at which point i think a conservative goal is in the neighborhood of 4:30 or roughly a 4:50 mile.
then 12 weeks for the 5000 and she's around 17:30
12 weeks for the 10000 and she's around 37:00
16 weeks for the marathon and she's in the 2:50s somewhere if race-day nutrition is on point (she'd have to be really diligent about this in training)
tldr; most people have no clue how talented world-class athletes are when it comes to their potential range
Sub 2:40. Come on. The best in the world are sub 2:20. No way she couldn’t break 2:40 if she trained for it for a few years.
A sub 2:40 can’t be too hard for a woman. If that time is 20+ minutes off the world record, even women without natural talent would be able to run that if trained properly and Sydney obviously has running talent.
Seriously, that time shouldn’t be hard for a decent athlete.
