If she is on board and this site hosts a fundraiser to do the research and make it happen (secure the location, bring in the required officials to make it legal, bring any additional racers that might be required, set up timing etc), I would contribute $1000 to that fund.
FWIW I also sponsored one of the Cade Flatt record attempts. I think the sport needs more of this.

It WILL count as the official world record but they usually put an "A" after it. Back around 1982 or '83 Calvin Smith and Evelyn Ashford both broke the world records in the 100m on the same day at the Air Force Academy, which according to what I have is 6,981'.

still legit-it was the US sports festival i think? in '83. All of the times in Mexico City were official WR's, and took several decades to break given the big altitude advantage, except for the Tommie Smith 200m which was broken in 1979 at the same place!
