Why are all of these people pushing MAGNESIUM SUPPLEMENTATION on me? The argument they always use is that the vast majority of Americans don't get enough magnesium in
their diet, therefore, YOU should supplement.
But the vast majority of Americans are overweight slobs. Does that mean I need to reduce my caloric intake even though I am 5'11'' 130 Lb?
If I can get the recommended 420 mg through diet, why are they pushing magnesium supplementation so hard? It's not just the quacks and snake oil salesmen trying to make money, it's also respectable scientists assuming that we CAN'T POSSIBLY get enough magnesium through diet alone.
Is there something magical about magnesium that makes it not absorbable from whole foods?
