Was anyone else thinking at the end of Abby’s leg that maybe it wasn’t the best idea to have three runners on the team who had just completed really long NCAA seasons?
Guess that long season didn’t slow Britton Wilson down too much. What an impressive leg.
To be fair, Steiner's fast splits were never from the front, always with someone to chase. I don't know if she's ever run a 400 from the front and she definitely hasn't had enough experience to expect her to properly judge a max effort with no one to chase.
Yep. Not up to her earlier-season exploits, but we already knew she was worn down in this meet, from her 200 times. And a perfectly good result for a sub. No other replacement would have done better.

I wasn’t the one wildly predicting she’d split 48 low.
I am just wondering where all the smart people who thought Mu could and would run 1 hour after her 800 went?
Clearly those people never broke 2 in the 800. Unless, of course, they're thinking back to their high school glory days where they did that double in a dual meet and think that the world championship compares.
