It has to be Kingston, Jamaica. Jamaicans love their track & field and they stormed Eugene. Jamaican athletes had equal or more cheers than the Americans when they were announced. It was amazing to see.

Back to Mardrid and watch the sprint times hit another stratosphere. Lyles could have had the world record or have been 2nd on the list if he was racing in Madrid on the day of the final.

Hot weather equals thin air...
It would be interesting to have a high-altitude site for a change, like Mexico City, Johannesburg, or Nairobi. Distance runners probably wouldn't like it, but sprints would be exciting.
The Olympics should have a permanent site so cities don't have to bankrupt themselves building facilities that will barely be used again and bribing IOC officials (which is why this will never happen.) Or they could have maybe three sites that are rotated through.
I would also like to see both competitions timed or located so you're not dealing with boiling hot weather. If you insist on having the meets in July put them in Oslo or Helsinki, etc. If you're going to put them in most other places just call them the Summer Olympics but have them either by mid spring or in autumn.
