I saw a breakdown of a week of Molly Sediel's training a while back but I can't remember where. The km volumes per pace were as follows:
Easy pace 94.4 km
Steady pace 44.5 km
Marathon pace 24.6 km
Half marathon pace 21.8 km
5K pace 5.4 km
Fast pace 1.2 km
TOTAL 191.9 km
I usually follow a Daniels-type approach so I adjusted the paces to basically fit his paces.
Easy = E pace
Steady = ?
MP = MP
HMP =about 6 seconds/mile slower than T pace
5K = about 2-3 seconds/mile slower than I pace
Fast = R pace
What would be "Steady" be? Maybe halfway between E and MP?
