On the boys side this will be a crap-shoot between many teams.

Apparently all 7 are seniors for Kickapoo mo.

York is easily #1 on the girls side

Ty Garrett has transferred back to Center Grove from Valor Christian ... assuming he runs for the team, that would move Center Grove to top preseason spot in Midwest ... and as high as #6 nationally.

Center Grove should be #1 easily actually.

Hinsdale Central should be #3 behind Center Grove and Carmel. Ahead of Plainfield South.

Wouldn’t be surprised if senior-heavy Kickapoo is top 5.

Brebeuf always seems to find a good top 5.

York and Sandburg always seem to reload and put together a good top 5.

So, until Center Grove is able to put a team together at the end, it’s clear that Carmel is number 1, and number 2 is a toss up

Here is how I would rank the Midwest boys teams:

1. Carmel

2. Plainfield south

3. noblesville

4. Zionsville

5. mason

Way too early boys predictions for 2023

1. Noblesville IN. Finished as the third Midwest team. Not losing many varsity guys.
2. Carmel IN. Losing Mathison and Leedke. And probably a couple of more varsity guys.
3. Mas Jackson OH. Contending for the second spot at state this year. But they are losing nobody so they will be able to beat Mason next year.
4. Mason OH. Very, very deep team. But loses the majority of their varsity.

5. Barrington IL. This team is ranked highly in Illinois right now and returns all scorers
