If you take a look at the reaction times across the board in Eugene v. the last 4 world champs it is very obvious that Eugene is an extreme outlier with reaction times significantly quicker than what one would expect to see.
Also have an extremely irregular clustering of false starts taking place a few thousandths away from the limit of .100. This has literally never happened before where all the false starts are within a few thousandths of one another.
Sorry Malmo, but you're wrong about this one. It is in fact a problem with the reaction timing system. It is recording everyone's reaction times as being .02 faster than they really are. None of the runners with the .09x reaction times should have been DQ'd because their reaction times were actually only .11x .

i hope they come out and admit it, apologize and hopefully fix it before the 200m heats are scheduled to begin in the afternoon session.

I agree. A number of us on this message board figured out that it's completely abnormal to have so many .10 and .11 reaction times, so the people who operate the system should have picked up on the same thing.
Maybe they realized the problem the first day but they were hoping that no big names like Devon Allen would get DQ'd, so that no one would notice their reaction time system wasn't working properly?
Either they were deliberately trying to hide a serious problem, or they are incompetent in not figuring out that there was a problem. Neither one of those things is good.

I see your point- there's money involved. Forget the intangible money- endorsement and bonus- there's prize money. Top 8, if you're in the finals of any race up to 800, you're guaranteed money.
They really have to fix that and to change the rule. 1st FS to the field, 2nd get's a DQ.
