I've always worn the Victory XC but thinking about giving the NB XC5K a try.
Any rumblings about an XC superspike? Not sure the tech would translate but interested to know if any companies are working on it.

Nike has a Dragonfly XC coming out this season. Same idea for the hs xc runner.
I don't run much XC so I will probably stick to the Spike Flat.

If that is the case, how effective do you believe the Dragonfly modified for XC will be compared to a normal cross spike? Will it be as game-changing as it was on the track? Or have most of the benefit negated? Or somewhere in between depending on the course?
i ran on the dragonflies in xc and it went well. just understand they get dirty and muddy and disgusting asf
I'm stoked to hear there's a Dragonfly XC coming out! Will definitely be giving it a try but doubt it will have the same degree of performance boost. My understanding is that a big part of the benefit from the Nike supershoes, in particular, is that the curvature of the plate guides your foot through a highly efficient movement pattern. It seems this would be most consistent on a firm, level surface. Could still translate well on the more manicured XC surfaces, but I'd guess results would be more variable on uneven or otherwise inconsistent terrain. Hopefully not detrimental - i.e., shoe "getting in the way" of adaptations. But, regardless, the improved energy return of the new foam should be an improvement. I also hope they stick with the slightly more spacious toe box design that the Dragonfly track spikes have. Always thought it was counterproductive to have my toes pinched in, e.g., the Victor track spikes.
Nike Matumbo 2's.
Don't have $$$ to invest in actual XC spikes, and these are probably on their last leg. Anyone have experience using them for cross?
if you're running on a California grass track "XC" course it'll be fine. If you're running at Bull Run I think normal spikes would be better
I can't find anything online about a Dragonfly coming out for XC. Any idea on release date?
