I bought 4 pairs of BOA shorts. The mesh they have is super loose and flimsy. This means you have to wear underwear with the shorts which is less confortable and defeats the whole purpose of the mesh.
Anyone else find this problem or have solutions?

in what world do you need to wear underwear with boa shorts...
i mean the materials they use aren't world class but they're like 20 bucks. they either work for you or they don't.
You need to wear underwear with those shorts because the mesh is so loose that it doesn't hold nothing.

Cut the mesh out... carefully. Then, wear performance boxer briefs or briefs made with wicking fabric. You can buy these briefs at TJ Maxx for about $13 for 4 pairs. The advantage of this approach is you can get briefs that are the perfect fit and wear them with all your running shorts (after you cut out the mesh liner). I've tried all the brands, but I prefer Puma. RBX, Under Armor, and Spyder are also good for boxer briefs. Hanes and Fruit of the Loom weren't good for running, in my opinion. Briefs are harder to find, but Papi makes a brief that fits for me. None of the other brands are acceptable as a running brief, in my opinion. Asics also makes a very good running brief, but it costs $20 or so.
...or so you don't show your mantz...
I love BOA shorts. There is nothing wrong with their liners. You don't need to wear underwear with their shorts. The problem is with you.
Agree that BOA shorts are awesome! I prefer their 10 inch compression short but have used their 1" - 2" shorts before too with no problem. If OP desires, they also offer split shorts with a slightly "longer" built in liner too.
I've got one pair of Boa shorts, the liners fit differently than all of my other shorts, they feel perilously close to letting my junk loose but so far everything has stayed put.
Rabbit brand are the worst. My balls hang outside the liner on them. When I check my leg my balls are visible

I love the shorts too. I was just asking for a suggestion and to see if anyone else's BOA shorts have very loose mesh. No need to attack me now 😂
Agree. The quality of BOA shorts are pretty bad. Chicknlegs seems to be the go to brand now for fun patterns.

Are you saying your twig and berries would fall off? Is this like the uterui falling off women argument to try to prevent women from running back in the day?
