My coach requires all runners to be clean shaven!

It is weird. But it's also weird to drag a blade across your face every morning. A weird cult thing.

You have two options.

1) Don't go there. It probably isn't the only stupid rule the guy has.

2) Grow a big old porn stache or claim religious freedumb. The Yankee policy: "All players, coaches and male executives are forbidden to display any facial hair other than mustaches (except for religious reasons)

1. Are they good?

If yes, try it out and see.

If no, laugh in their face as you walk out the door.

The coach doesn't have to run him.

To answer some of the questions above: yes the team is good, better than most D1 teams in the area. Like I said before I don't care too much about this rule but this coach is coming across as a micromanager. He also said that COVID is still a thing and we should avoid large crowds and wear masks whenever we're in public.

Great policy decision by coach. It helped the Yankees get rid of problem child Clint Frazier, or Jackson Frazier, or whatever he's going by currently. Look at where the Yankees are now.

Decent attempt. You got some responses. Adding on the COVID thing like it's an afterthought without commenting yourself on it is a subtle mistake novice trollers often make. Let's see how the rest of this plays out.

D2 schools are terrible academically. The coach probably isn't smart either. You are stuck there for life and will be lucky to get a job afterward.

When I was in college, the guys had some crazy haircuts.

Our coach judged our haircut based on how fast you ran.
If you were running well, you had a good haircut.
If you were not running so well, you had a bad haircut.

A distance runner should absolutely be clean shaven - on their bald head. A bald head greatly increases sweat efficiency and is a performance edge in any sweaty weather.

Are you running for the430miler's crew? Sounds like one of his ideas to reduce aerodynamic drag or heat dissipation. He's a bit eccentric but also a genius so I would give him a chance.
