I am an independent developer / amateur runner. When I started running I noticed there was not really a good way to create playlists with the right bpm with music that I actually liked. So I created a mobile app for iPhone / Android that does just that using Spotify playlists as a source. I call it BeatRunner and I am posting in hopes of finding more experienced runners that would be interested in helping me beta test.
The way it works if you first choose one of your Spotify playlists or your liked songs as a seed. Then you drag points on an interactive graph to create a running plan based on when you want to hit a specific running cadence. The app then generates a Spotify playlists based on songs from your seed + recommendations from Spotify based on those songs, that matches the duration / bpm of your running plan as closely as possible.
To see more about how it works or if you are interested in helping beta test, please visit beatrunner.app. Anyone who helps test and is willing to fill out a short survey at the end of the testing period will receive a free one year subscription when the app is released as a thank you.
Thanks for your consideration!
