Yeah. They do it every year. They seem to be in a different league than everyone else. Dopest group in the nation.
I’m as much of a skeptic as anyone but Cranny has been running top-level times since HS. I’m not very surprised to see her doing so well. I’m more surprised that Alexa Efraimson nor Sarah Baxter were able to carry that success forward.

Surprised that Alexa and Sarah couldn't carry it forward... like Shelby did?
iaonvei "there is only one prominent US distance runner to be doping ban right now and she's from BTC, and Cranny has defended her. Yeah. They do it every year. They seem to be in a different league than everyone else. Dopest group in the nation."
I absolutely agree with iaonvei! Cranny is NOT to be trusted as a clean athlete! She runs for a dirty team and she defends a dirty athlete. Why? I don't trust she is clean. She also didn't race the 10,000m at the last minute. Her improvement post college is not believable. I can't root for the Bowerman athletes.
pretty impressive last 4 by the top 3. anybody remember this?
Hassan ran the final 1500 meters of 30:17.23 10,000 in 3:59.09 to close out a second half of 14:43.80 (first half was 15:33.82). If everyone in the world lined up fresh for a 5000, someone running a 14:43.80 with a 3:59.1 last 1500 would have a great shot at winning gold. Hassan had just done this at the end of a 10,000.
Not sure if this is a troll post, or an ignorant one -- but Emily left BTC because of the constant injuries. Glad she found a coach / plan that works for her and she's able to be in global competitions again. One of my favorite athletes!
I would have loved to see Cranny in yesterday’s 1500m. With that closing speed, I bet she would have made the team (Probably gets 2nd, behind Johnson)
Eh, we need a reality check on that one. Cranny's 1500m PB is 4:02.62, and she is a 1500m runner that moved up somewhat out of necessity after nearly winning the NCAA 1500. Schweizer's PB is faster at 4-flat and Schweizer got 4th in that 1500m race well behind Cory McGee. So while you can argue that maybe Cranny could've been kicking right there with Schweizer (and perhaps beating her), that's also ignoring that Schweizer did more work in the 5,000 with two 1500m races in her legs and still Cranny didn't beat her by that much yesterday.
Most likely Cranny is just edging out Schweizer for 4th or finishing 5th if she runs that 1500. Outside shot at beating St. Pierre, but presuming she'd beat McGee who ran great and is now clearly a 4-flat runner consistently with good tactics and finishing ability is too far for me.

Agreed. Cranny hung on to being a 1500m runner for a long time after it was clear she was better at 3000+ because she loved the event. Coming out of HS it was unclear whether she was better at 1500 (4th at WJR) or XC/3200/etc.
But if she did focus on it I do think she could make the team. But she wouldn't be as impressive as she is in the 5,000 / 10,000. I think she could run 3:58-9, something like that. Her ceiling is much higher in the 5,000 & 10,000.
