I stumbled upon this professional hobbyjogger "dietician" that ran the Grandma's Marathon 2022 in 3:59:32. Guess how much she ate during the race? I think I'm out of touch with just how much hobbyjoggers have to eat during a run.
In addition to wear a water hydration backpack during the marathon, her Instagram post also says she ate:

SaltStick Fast Chews: 3-4 throughout the race
She looks pretty fit from her Instagram race photos and should have ran much faster than a 3:59:32 if she didn't focus on carrying so much water and food on her. Should just grab gatorade from the water tables during the race. It's a marathon, not an ultra.
