ok, so i’ve ditched my orthotics and stability shoes for a number of different reasons. i think they have caused my many recent running injuries, and i hope this could be a way to see if that is true. i was running in the stability shoes and orthotics doing little runs in the neutral, no orthotics shoes, but the stability and orthotics started literally hurting my joints every run, so i decided to completely give them up and start from scratch.
i was running very little in the neutral/no orthotics shoes, i had built up to like 2.5 miles in the short 2 weeks i had been “weaning” off. how should i build up in the new neutral shoes? what should the increases look like? i know while you build you should do some strides, tempos, and fartleks, is this possible for me in such foreign shoes? thank you in advance!! i really want to do what’s likely best and REALLY do not want to get injured. thanks again.
