There has to be more to this story than what you're telling us. You suddenly hate this person after 3 years? Did he come on to you? Did you suddenly realize you're gay and might be attracted to him? Details, more details........
Well, here a short of the long story....
First of all, he's kind of goofy and wears all sorts of gear like a GPS on his wrist and a gu fanny pack. All he talks about is the next f-ing marathon he is going to run and what kind of training he is putting in. All that talk and he always gallow's in like a 4:20. It cracks me up that he goes to the track. His 800's are run at what my marathon pace probably is!
When I first started running was four years ago and back then I thought this guy was the shiat since he was logging about 40 miles a week. I was blown away that someone can run that much. He volunteered to take me under his wing and teach me about competitive running.
Well, needless to say, in just three years running with him I have achieved more than he could ever achieve and he's been running for 20 years. He is just a joke who is fooling himself into thinking that he is not wasting his time by being a runner. Heck, I'm running a 5K now in the low 19's and he cannot even break 21. Anyone that can't break at least 20 ought to find another way to spend their time.
I want to start running with some other better quality runners instead of being kept dragged down by this guy. The only problem is that he is my ride to the Sunday run unless I can get a car.
