unless you're light and super efficient, go with the marathoner. I like the KR a lot (I assume you're talking about the KT II) but most people would have a hard time getting through a marathon in that shoe, unless that is what they're used to. What flat are you currently running marathons in?
very happy with the mararthoner, although I haven't worn it in a marathon yet. Done a couple long training runs and a couple 1/2 marathons and it felt great!
Is the KR II firmer? I like the marathoner on dry roads.Reasonably durable too. Holes in the sole I could do without.
currently i'm running in an old school pair of nike air streaks... not much to them... after my last marathon the ball of my fot was hurting so i figure its time for a new pair.
KR II is firmer than the marathoner, but if you're asking if the KR is softer than the KR II I can't answer that because I haven't worn the KR.
Which is lighter? Does anyone know the advertised weights of each shoe and (even better) the ACTUAL weights? Sometimes they are way off.
Size 10 actual weight-
KR II-6.3oz
Marathoner-8.6oz
Excellent! Thanks, I had no idea the Katana II was so light
